Manual Hybrid Card Reader 862

The manual hybrid card reader 862 from ddm hopt+schuler is a card reader for particularly heavy use. Its card guidance, reinforced on both sides, protects against wear and tear and offers optimal gliding properties for the reading behavior of magnetic stripe cards. Inserted foreign objects and debris fall out at the bottom thanks to its open design. Even in the event of a power failure, an inserted card can be pulled out thanks to the integrated emergency release. The hybrid card reader 862 is usually used for vending machines and kiosk systems, but is also used as a secure version in ATMs.

 

Product Information

The hybrid card reader reads up to three tracks of magnetic cards according to ISO 7811. It reads and writes smart cards according to ISO 7816. In addition, the card reader can be equipped with an RFID module including antenna for reading and writing contactless cards according to ISO 14443 A/B. The antenna of the RFID module can be placed internally or externally. The locking of the card can be released by motor or magnetically. A coin block as well as bezels with or without illumination are available. The secure version of the hybrid card reader is PCI and EMV Level 1 certified.
