Functions & technologies
For our HMI systems, where data processing takes the center stage, we at ddm hopt+schuler can rely on our proven ddm architecture of hardware and firmware. All our systems are based on the same microprocessor family that runs the ddm hopt+schuler firmware.
For these HMIs, it is very important that they are able to process the relevant data. In applications where the amount of data in communication with the host needs to be kept to a minimum, it is crucial that the system prepares, calculates, analyses and, if necessary, filters the data - so-called edge computing. In this way, the system only delivers the relevant data to the host and thus reduces the amount of data transmitted.
Our systems can also be expanded to include sensors and actuators via I/Os so that collected data can be fed directly into the HMI and corresponding actions or information can be executed via actuators.
