The 883 RFID and NFC module is an OEM board which lets you read the most common contactless cards as well as any NFC device. Its frequency is based on the wide spread high frequency (HF) format of 13.56 MHz and supports all common protocols for this frequency such as Mifare Classic and Desfire, ISO14443 A/B, ISO 15693 (iCode), FeliCa and the NFC-protocol.
For any easy integration, the 883 module is equipped with a wide range of interfaces starting from the classic RS232 and USB all the way to Ethernet, WIFI and BLE (Bluetooth low energy). Additionally, our RFID/NFC reader is equipped with E/As and an integrated LED driver. This allows you to connect additional periphery to the module for e.g. visual and audio feedback signals.
The interface to the user of a contactless card or an NFC device can also be adjusted according to your needs. The 883 RFID/NFC module is naturally equipped with an integrated antenna. Yet, the reader is also equipped with an interface to connect a second external antenna. Especially for designs in which the module is not located in the actual reading/user-interface position, the external antenna is a great solution. This external antenna can either be a third-party antenna or one of ddm hopt+schuler standard antennas. For special applications we can also design and produce a customized antenna.
