Our strategy for a sustainable future
How we translate sustainability for ourselves
Our sustainability strategy is based on an integrative approach that combines environmental responsibility, social fairness and economic performance.
We are committed to minimising our environmental impact, promoting fair working conditions and implementing sustainable business practices. By involving all stakeholders and continuously reviewing our goals, we aim to make a positive contribution to a sustainable future.
Ecological Sustainability
We translate this for ourselves by using the latest technologies: we use data and process it efficiently so that we can gain important insights from it. This also includes digitalized production.
We use sustainable raw materials and materials in the production of our products. We reduce our emissions and have the impetus to pay even more attention to nature and the environment.
Economic Sustainability
As a family business, we do not generate profits at the expense of our employees or the environment.
Our growth is sustainable and not at any price. We avoid waste in order to conserve costs and resources.
Social Sustainability
As a family business, the concept of suitability for grandchildren is at the forefront of our minds: we strive for a company and an earth that makes life and work worthwhile for future generations.
We translate social sustainability into happy and healthy employees, who form the core of our organization. Our Code of Conduct provides the basis for practicing value management. As an organization, we want to provide a framework for a change in behavior (consumption, waste separation...).
Our goals can be described in four parts
Achieve net zero emissions by 2045. (according to the UN climate agreement of 2015)
Efficient use of energy: reduction in energy intensity by 15 percent by 2030 compared to the base year 2020.
Goal 1: Forward-looking product portfolio: develop a strategy for new business areas up to 2026 and draw up an action plan.
Goal 2: In 2020, we have set ourselves the goal of innovating and digitalizing processes. In future, the aim is to implement at least one internal innovation, automation or digitalization project per year.
Goal 1: 70 percent satisfaction in the employee survey in 2026.
Goal 2: Within the next 12 months, we want to increase the range of health measures on offer by 50 percent in order to improve and strengthen the personal health and health knowledge of our employees.
