Triad for a successful future
Designers, Developers and Manufacturers has been the triad that characterizes the company ddm hopt+schuler for more than 50 years. The recent past was not easy due to the pandemic. However, due to our different business units we have survived the difficult time well and also initiated some optimizations. ddm hopt+schuler is known for innovative solutions at the interface between man and machine.
Card readers for magnetic stripe and chip cards are less and less in demand. Instead, the share of contactless card readers is growing. Well-known areas for card readers are gaming machines, payment solutions and charging stations for electric cars.
Ticket Systems is the area for mechanisms for issuing and processing plastic cards and paper tickets. The devices are particularly durable and robust. These solutions are used for vending and self-service machines in a wide range of applications.
Switches are more than just an interface for us. Innovative combinations of encoder and display represent complete HMI solutions. The focus in this business area is on "white goods" and control technology.
The three business areas have different characteristics. What they all have in common is the large proportion of customer-specific developments. In order to meet the high demands of our customers, the product development process has been converted to lean since 2021. We have already converted production as part of the lean transformation.
